- Recently, the Events Coordinator for the Georgia Tech Alumni Association contacted the GTCA. They wrote: "Hey there, I am the event lead for this year's Pi Mile road race and we are hoping to garner the support of GT Crew Alumni once again!The link to the website is (http://gtalumni.org/pimile) and we have just begun the voting process for the t-shirt design contest (voting link is: http://gtalumni.org/votes/15) and would love your help in promoting registration as well as voting. We are doing the awards for Tech Teams again, except this year two organizations will have the chance to win $250 each, to spread the wealth just a little bit further! Please contact me if you need any more information or have any questions. I have some flyers and other materials if you would be interested in receiving these as well. It's time to bring it again for 2011. Step up GTCA. Start training, or just use the Pi Mile as part of your training. If you can't run, join us at our staging area on the Tech Tower lawn and be prepared to cheer loud! The winners of the race will be determined by averaging the five lowest times from each group. GTCA members who race with us will receive a FREE GTCA Racing T-Shirt. Meet at the Tech Tower lawn before the race (7:30am) to gear up. After the race, we'll meet back there for some much deserved food & drinks!! 7:00 a.m. Registration: Pick up your number. Recruit alumni you run into on the lawn to race with the GTCA...that was fun last year. 7:30 a.m. Meet at GT Crew Alumni area on Tech Tower lawn - get your free GTCA racing t-shirt (and plan to wear it when you run) 8:00 a.m. Race 8:30 a.m. Meet back at GTCA area for post-race food, drink & fun!
***Be sure to list GT Crew Alumni Affinity Group as your organization when you register!!!
Why register as GTCA Affinity Group?? Because with the team, we get the chance to win $$$ for GT Crew. The winners will be determined by averaging the five lowest times from each group. Each team must have a minimum of five runners.
Non-GT Crew Alumni can be on our team! Just list the GT Crew Alumni Affinity Group as your team when you register.
