04.05.09 - GT Crew Annual Spring Picnic Recap

A great time was had by all this weekend at the 2009 Annual Spring Picnic. The team really spruced up the boathouse and the Alumni brought some good food to share. The rain held out just long enough to allow the alumni men to race against the current team in eights out on the Chattahoochee. Of course, the alumni men won. The women were hoping for the same but the current team must have been scared of the same outcome and didn't stick around to race. But thanks to a few varsity women, the alumni women were able to field and eight and row up and down the 'Hooch with the same grace and strength they had in their good 'ole days.

The GT Crew Team and the GT Crew Alumni Affinity Group invite you to join us at the 2009 Annual Spring Picnic on Sunday, April 5th at 11am-1pm.
Location: GT Crew Boathouse, Roswell, GA (Directions & Maps)
Date: Sunday, April 5th, 2009
Time: 11am - 1 pm (rain or shine)
Who: All current team members, alumni and their families.
Schedule to include:
- christening of new boats received after the trailer accident
- presentation of the NEW trailer donated by GT Crew Alumni
- welcoming speeches by special guests
- the induction of new GTCA members to graduating seniors
- an alumni row for men & women (so bring your spandex)
- a lot of memories, tons of fun and hopefully sun!
Food & drinks will be provided. Specially catered barbecue will be cooking at the river for your enjoyment! This is NO POTLUCK. This is good food.
We hope that all alumni in the Atlanta area will join us in celebration of the current team’s success, the Alumni Affinity Group’s beginnings and the exciting donation of over $15,000 to the team for their new trailer. So, please, join us on this special day and tell your friends!
