May 8th and 9th, 2009This year the GTCA has decided to travel up to Philly for our favorite race, the Dad Vail Regatta. Thanks to the alumni association, the GT Philadelphia Alumni club and the help of our own local alumni, Georgia Tech will have their own tent on the Schuylkill River, filled with food, drinks, friends and good times. We hope some of you can travel with us to our favorite town... and if you live there already, be sure to come join us on that Friday & Saturday. More information will come soon as the event approaches, but possible activities include a Friday evening dinner with the team, a trip to Jim's, scavenger hunts, and push up contests... so mark your calendar!

Published article in Tech Topics!
Check out the Tech Topics article on the GT Crew team and the Alumni Affinity Group. Featured in the article is a special on the Livestrong riders in Austin, Texas. We previously posted an article on the same topic - you can see it in our Alumni Spotlight section. If you didn't get one in your own mailbox at home, that means your bio is not up to date with the Alumni Association. So make sure you get that figured out on our bio update page.

This week's is "Plan to read, prepare to read, expect to read." Send us your suggestions and they might be in the next newsletter, all you have to do is fill out this form!
Here's some ideas...
"News from the shore"
"Updates from the other side"
"On the dock"
"From the After Party"
The GT Crew Affinity Group (GTCA) is organized to promote and facilitate the engagement of GT Crew Alumni, Affiliated Students, Friends, Faculty and Staff with the Georgia Tech Alumni Association, the current Georgia Tech Crew team and the Institute as a whole.
The easiest way for us to remain in contact with you is for you to receive this newsletter. So please don't unsubscribe unless you really don't want to ever get any information from us. In addition, send it to a fellow teammate, make sure they got it too. If they didn't, they can subscribe right at the bottom of this email. And don't forget, you can always update your bio with us on our website.
Thanks for all you do alumni. We appreciate it and so does the team.
